Is Trepadora Worth it Three Years Later?

I was introduced to Trepadora products at my 1st salon visit for a curly cut. My Stylist layered Uncle Funky Daughter’s Curly Magic, Trepadora’s Papaya Slip, and Trepadora’s Bamboo Ginseng Glaze. I was hooked, the results were fantastic even in the humid, muggy summertime weather in NJ. I whipped out my wallet so fast ready to buy Trepadora, but she was low on inventory so asked me to come back in a week or two. I was dissapointed, so much so that I became an authorized Trepadora retailer here in the United States and offer Trepadora on my brand’s website untwisted.shop to make sure that Trepadora was available for myself and other Trepadora lovers here in the United States. It has been almost 3 years since my 1st curly cut appointment and I have tried MANY wash and go products since then. So is Trepadora still worth the splurge for this wash and go girly?

Are Trepadora Shampoos Worth it?

My stylist did not use Trepadora’s shampoo at my appointment, but I was so in love with the brand that I wanted to give other products from the brand a try. The Goji Berry Mint Reviving Hair Rinse, takes the guess work out of wash days for me. It is strong enough to remove residue from the styling products, gentle enough not to leave my hair terribly dry. The fragrance is refreshing without being over powering. I’ll be completely honest, my go to is Oyin’s Shampoo. However, I do still indulge in Trepadora’s Goji Berry Mint Reviving Hair Rinse for a splurge, or when I need something a little stronger than Oyin.

Trepadora also offers a Hibiscus Pink Clay Wash. Pink Clay is more gentle than the Bentonite Clay mask that are popular in the natural hair community. If you are a Clay girl it might be worth the splurge. However I’m not a fan of clay, so I have not tried the Hibiscus Pink Clay Wash by Trepadora.

Now let’s get into my favorite part of wash day, Conditioner!

Are Trepadora Conditioners Worth it?

Trepadora’s Quinoa Repair Deep Conditioner is another product that I tried and fell in love with it. I have medium/fine strands that do well with a boost of protein, but to be honest I’m scared of overdoing it. It can be easy to go from mushy hair to stiff/brittle hair if you use too much protein. I still use Treapdora’s Quinoa Repair Deep Conditioner on the regular (about twice a month). I do find that it does best paired with a conditioner with a bit more slip, so what I do is coat my ends with the Quinoa Repair Deep Conditioner, then mix a little rinse out with some of the Quinoa repair and apply it to the rest of my hair. It is expensive but it is worth it to me, much like the Goji Berry Mint Reviving Hair Rinse it gets the job done without overdoing it.

I’ve only used one tube of Trepadora’s Coconut Almond Detangling Conditioner. I liked it and it had nice slip, but there are rinse outs more easily accessible in the states. So for me, Trepadora’s Coconut Almond Detangling Conditioner is a nice to have, not a must have.

Are Trepadora Styling Products Worth it?

Now Trepadora’s Styling Products are what got me HOOKED on this brand. Trepadora Bamboo Ginseng Glaze and Trepadora Papaya slip are great for layering. That is one of the main reasons Trepadora is worth it to me. I have densely packed fine/medium strands, I typically need to use a lot product to style my hair. The magic happens when these pricey gels are paired with more affordable gels, I still get the benefits of these high quality stylers.

I learned the concept of base gels and topper gels from Black Girl Curls for wash and Gos. You can learn more by visiting this website...

As for the Styling gels Trepadora Bamboo Ginseng Glaze, Trepadora Papaya slip and the newest addition Trepadora Acai Berry Fix they have played nice with EVERYTHING I’ve paired them with. I’ve tried them with botanical gels, leave-ins, styling foams and even styling creams. As long as my hair is soaking wet, I’ve had no issue with white residue or unsightly flaking. For that reason Trepadora styling gels are absolutely worth it to me. A little truly goes a long way and the bottles last me two or three months.

Other stylers in Trepadora’s Line Up include:

I’ve tried all the styling products with the exception of the Repairing Elixir,

I didn’t regret purchasing any of the stylers but the Trepadora styling gels are worth it to me.

These are the Trepadora Products are absolutely worth it

After 3 years of using Trepadora products and trying many others along the way…For me these Trepadora products are worth the splurge:
